Deara Website and Waitlist Privacy Notice
1. Who we are and what this Notice covers
This Website and Waitlist Privacy Notice explains how Deara Labs LLC collects and uses personal information through the Deara marketing website at deara.app, including any waitlist, product-update signup, contact form, and related website communications (together, the "Website").
Deara is operated by Deara Labs LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Florida, United States ("Deara," "we," "us").
This Notice does not apply to personal information processed through the Deara iOS application, including Memories, Archive content, child profiles, voice recordings, transcripts, photos, videos, Future Deliveries, or other in-app content. Those practices are described in the Deara Privacy Policy at deara.app/privacy.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect:
- your email address when you join a waitlist, request product or launch updates, or subscribe to communications;
- the date and time of your signup and the signup source;
- your name, email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide when you contact us;
- your communication preferences and unsubscribe status.
Please do not submit private Archive content, sensitive personal information, or information about a child through a general Website form unless we specifically request it for an identified purpose.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Website, we and the service providers supporting it may automatically receive limited technical information, such as:
- IP address;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- language and time-zone settings;
- pages viewed and actions taken;
- referring and exit pages;
- visit dates and timestamps;
- website, security, error, and performance logs;
- cookie or similar technology identifiers, where used.
An IP address may provide a general indication of the region from which the Website is accessed. The Website does not request access to your device's precise location.
Email activity
When we send an email, our email service provider may process technical information about the delivery of and engagement with our messages.
3. How we use information
We use Website information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Website;
- manage the waitlist and record signup preferences;
- send launch, product, feature, plan, or company updates that you requested or that we are otherwise permitted to send;
- respond to inquiries and provide support;
- prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate submissions, and unauthorized activity;
- understand Website performance and improve navigation, content, and user experience;
- maintain consent, unsubscribe, security, and compliance records;
- comply with applicable law and protect or exercise our legal rights.
We do not use information submitted through the Website to access or alter private content stored in a Deara Archive.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Notice and provide any notice, choice, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law before the change applies.
Nothing in this Notice states that the Website or the Deara service will always be free of advertising, sponsorships, promotions, or other commercial content.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, fraud prevention, preference management, and performance.
Technologies that are strictly necessary to operate or secure the Website may be used without consent where permitted by law.
If Deara enables non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technologies, we will provide any notice, choice, or consent mechanism required by applicable law before activating those technologies.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the Website's cookie controls. Blocking necessary technologies may affect how the Website functions.
5. Waitlist and email communications
If you join the waitlist or request product updates, we may use your email address to:
- confirm your signup;
- provide launch or availability information;
- send Deara product, feature, plan, or company updates;
- communicate about material changes affecting the signup or requested service.
Marketing emails include a method to unsubscribe. You may also contact privacy@deara.app to change your communication preferences.
After you unsubscribe, we may retain a limited suppression record containing your email address and unsubscribe status where reasonably necessary to ensure that your preference continues to be honored. Unsubscribing from marketing messages does not prevent us from sending non-marketing messages where they are necessary to respond to you, administer a request you made, or comply with law.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the laws of the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis apply, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Consent: for waitlist or optional marketing communications and, where required, non-essential cookies or analytics;
- Steps taken at your request: when you contact us or request information before using the Deara service;
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Website, respond to inquiries, prevent misuse, and maintain appropriate business records, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Legal obligations: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements, or valid legal process.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
7. How we share information

- website hosting and infrastructure;
- database and form processing;
- email delivery and waitlist management;
- analytics and performance monitoring;

We may disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Deara, our users, or others.
Business transactions
Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, insolvency, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
At your direction
We may share information when you request or authorize us to do so.

- information may be retained longer where required by law, valid legal process, an active dispute, fraud prevention, security needs, or a legal hold.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

To submit a request, contact privacy@deara.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
